Frostbite.
Two ways.

Hop the floes. Raise the igloo. Beat the cold.

One simulation, two cabinets: the cartridge exactly as it looked on a 2600, and a remastered build with an aurora sky, living ice and a synthesized soundscape. Same rules, same floes — arrow keys on a keyboard, thumb pads and swipes on iPhone and Android.

CARTRIDGE-EXACT

Frostbite Classic

The original screen in its own pixels: the 2600 NTSC palette, slanted white floes that turn blue underfoot, the stepped igloo, line-coloured sprites, the 45° countdown with the reserve count beside it, the HMOVE comb and TIA-style blips and noise. Games 1–4, one or two players.

UPDATED GRAPHICS

Frostbite Remastered

The same igloo rebuilt for today's screens: a low sun by day and the aurora at night, glaciers on the horizon, bobbing two-faced ice with wakes and reflections, an animated builder and critters, blocks that fly home to the igloo, frost creeping in as the cold bites, and a synthesized score.

THE IGLOO

Every white floe you land on turns blue and adds a block; when all four rows are blue they turn white again. Sixteen jumps raise the igloo and its door — then get back to shore, stand under it and jump in before the temperature falls from 45° to zero.

THE HAZARDS

Snow geese, king crabs and killer clams shove you into the sea; fish are 200 points. From level 4 a polar grizzly prowls the shore — lure him off, he cannot reach the far-left corner. Four igloos a shift: day, then night. A bonus builder every 5,000 points.
